The balance between mind, body and spirit is commonly referred to when referring to Yoga. This is a practice that has been in place for thousands of years with results of feeling inner peace. Yoga involves holding your body in various poses, being conscious of your breath, and the inner processes of your body and mind. The energy that comes from the practice of Yoga results in healthier and happier lifestyles.
Though I have to say that it does not completely eliminate drama from your life. It does however help you put things in prospective. I do not get stressed out about things as I used to. I do not allow other people to disturb my inner peace. And if I feel myself getting riled up in anyway, all I have to do is find a private place (the bathroom?) and listen to myself breath, and things feel better to me.
I have read quite a bit about Yoga extending life and how I will likely live longer because of my practice of Yoga. My commitment to practice Yoga came a few years before I actually began practicing and I think that the reason that I did not start was because of time.
I would like to say that if anyone is considering a Yoga routine, just start. Even if it is just 10 minutes a day. You will be so glad that you did. Remember that there are no prerequisites to practicing Yoga. The ancient practice allows anyone to start.
